Is Ormesby Manor available for exclusive private use for a weekend or extended stay?

Yes we regularly host family gatherings, friends get-gogethers, shooting parties and team building stays all limited to house guests for a minimum of 2 nights.

How many guests can Ormesby Manor accommodate?

Ormesby Manor can sleep 20 overnight guests.

Clients often also book the Gardener, Gamekeeper and Beekeeper our 3 luxury Shepherds Huts taking the total to 26 overnight guests.

Can you arrange caterers?

Yes we arrange highly recommended caterers who can provide just about anything you need for your stay from 7 course tasting menus for dinners, light luncheons or drop off suppers for you to relax and dine at your leisure.

Can I self cater?

Yes you can self cater if you prefer or a mix of both.

How do I book Ormesby Manor for exclusive use?

All of our exclusive use bookings are on request, please email [email protected] with your preferred dates and we will check availability and provide you with a quotation.

Well Lodge

Can I book Well Lodge independently?

Yes Well Lodge is available to book for 2, 3 or 4 guests as the accommodation comprises of 2 bedrooms these can be made up as 2 Super King beds or 1 Super King and 1 Twin room. There is a large family shower room and kitchen with small fridge microwave and dishwasher and open plan dining, living room area.

What do I need to bring?

Everything you need for a comfortable stay is provided, luxury bed linens, towels and toiletries, water and hot drinks, glasses, crockery and cutlery. Well Lodge bedrooms and living area also contain Smart TVs.

Do you serve breakfast?

Yes all of our direct bookings for Well Lodge include Ormesby Manors Signature Breakfast delivered to your door each morning with freshly baked pastries, fresh fruits, yogurts, cereals and local fruit juices.

We can cater for special dietary needs.

Is there room for children?

We permit travel cots at no extra charge and can arrange additional single beds in Well Lodge if required.

Is there WiFi?

The entire estate has its own dedicated super fast fibre connectivity.

Where on the property is Well Lodge?

Well Lodge is annexed directly to the Manor House and can be independent or interconnecting to the ground floor of the Manor when required.

Shepherds Huts

What do I need to bring?

Everything you need for a comfortable stay is provided, luxury bed linens, towels and toiletries. The kitchen areas include a small fridge, microwave and kettle, chilled water and hot drinks. Wine glasses and crockery are provided for indoor and outside seating and dining areas. The Shepherds Huts bedrooms and living area also contain Smart TVs.

Do you serve breakfast?

Yes all of our direct bookings for The Gamekeeper, Gardener and Beekeeper our 3 Shepherds Huts, include Ormesby Manors Signature Breakfast delivered to your door each morning with freshly baked pastries, fresh fruits, yogurts, cereals and local fruit juices.

Do the huts have hot water, electricity and a toilet?

The Shepherds Huts are beautifully fitted out with everything you would expect in a luxury hotel room. Super Comfy King Size Beds en-suite, Shower-room, wash basin and toilet.

Does it get cold, is there heating?

They Shepherds Huts are centrally heated by internal radiators and towel rails, run via our biomass plant on sustainable fuels.

Is there WiFi connectivity at the huts?

Ormesby Manor Estate has its own super fast WiFi fibre network connected to all accommodation including the Shepherds Huts and Well Lodge.

What is the setup and availability of the Hot Tub on the property?

The Hot Tub is run on renewable fuels and kept at a constant temperate throughout your stay so you can use it whenever you wish. Only available for exclusive use, times bookable on arrival.

Are logs provided?

There is a Fire Pit and logs are provided.

How far are the huts from each other?

The Gamekeeper, Gardener and Beekeeper are all located in the Manor Meadow it is a very private, peaceful spot.

Check in is 3pm check out is 11am

Will bed linen and towels be provided?

Luxury Bed linens, Towels and Toiletries are provided.

What is your cancellation policy?

For Gamekeeper, Gardener or Beekeeper Shepherd’s Huts – we offer full refunds up to 7 days prior to arrival.

Well Lodge – we offer full refunds up to 7 days prior to arrival.

Ormesby Manor House cancellation policy is subject to individual booking conditions.

Is it true Ormesby Manor has its own biomass power plant?

Yes Ormesby Manor, Well Lodge and The Gamekeeper, Gardener and Beekeepers heating and hot water is provided entirely by renewable fuels through its own biomass power plant.

Why is sustainability important to Ormesby Manor?

Sustainability is immensely important to Ormesby Manor being set in beautiful countryside surrounded by wildlife we are aware of how fragile the world has become and are all trying by every means to help nurture and save our beautiful planet.

Are there any restaurants or shops nearby?

There are a number of good restaurants, pubs, tearooms and farm shops nearby we can highly recommend.

What activities are close by?

Being inside the Norfolk Broads National Park, there is a wealth of things to do from day boat hire on the broads waterways to paddleboarding, sailing and beautiful desolate beaches and stunning countryside to walk.

The Property

How many guests can Ormesby Manor accommodate?

Ormesby Manor including Well Lodge can accommodate 20 guests.

Well Lodge independently can accommodate 4 guests.

The Gamekeeper, Gardener & Beekeeper our 3 Luxury Shepherds Huts accommodate 2 guests each.

Are children allowed at Ormesby Manor?

Children are very welcome at Ormesby Manor.

Is Ormesby Manor dog friendly?

Dogs may be permitted under certain conditions by arrangement.

Is there parking?

There is ample parking close to all accommodation on the estate.

When was Ormesby Manor built?

Ormesby Manor was originally built as a large farmhouse dating back to 1736. The grander south facing Regency facade was added around 1818 and Well Lodge was partially rebuilt in 2016.

Is smoking permitted inside the property?

By law smoking is not permitted at any time inside the property.

Weddings and Events

How many weddings do you hold a year?

As we offer a limited number of dates for weddings each year we recommend you complete our website enquiries form to request your preferred dates and provide us with as much information as possible.

How long can I provisionally hold a date?

We can hold dates for 14 days whilst confirming ceremony details, marquee suppliers and caterers availability.

How many guests can Ormesby Manor accommodate?

Ormesby Manor can accommodate 26 overnight guests on the property.

The Manor House is perfect for intimate, small or micro weddings as within the Manor House we are able to seat 50 guests.

For guest numbers over 50 a Marquee would be required.

There is scope within our grounds to set up extensive ceremony and entertainment marquees and tented structures for up to 300 guests.

Is Ormesby Manor licensed for civil ceremonies?

The Parlour and Garden Room are licensed for up to 50 and 30 guests respectively. For larger guest numbers we can also arrange open air ceremonies in the grounds.

We are also able to facilitate ceremony only occasions on selected weekdays.

Alternatively pretty St.Michael’s Parish Church is at the gate to our sweeping driveway.

Do you offer wedding packages?

We do not offer wedding packages as all of our events are bespoke.

We believe each wedding is very special and should be unique and treated as a very personalised occasion. Our events team are experienced in liaising with suppliers to guide you through to the most momentous day of your life.

Is Ormesby Manor a private venue?

Yes for weddings and events the entire property including all Manor House reception rooms and accommodation is exclusively yours from the moment you arrive and throughout your stay for you and your guests to relax and enjoy.

Does Ormesby Manor use preferred suppliers?

We have an extensive list of highly recommended suppliers for you to chose from including caterers, marquee and furniture hire, florists, decorators photographers. Alternatively if you have a supplier you prefer please do let us know.

Can you provide catering?

We have a list of amazing award wining caterers for you to chose from and can arrange anything from sumptuous banquets to buffets, wedding breakfasts, dinners with canapés or crepes, afternoon teas, hog roasts or barbecues to ice cream and pizza.

What bar and beverage facilities are there?

Our creatively stocked and staffed Botanicals Cocktail Bar is located in the Orangery.

Ormesby Manor also stock, set up and fully staff all Bar facilities for your event in the Marquee on our Terraces or Courtyard or anywhere you prefer.

We offer an extensive wine list and can also offer corkage options should you prefer to provide your own Wines and Champagnes.

Can you accommodate a live band or DJ?

Yes we can accommodate live bands DJs just about any kind of entertainment can be arranged. Pianist, Jazz Qaurtet, Harpists, Magicians even Jugglers and Acrobats just let us know.

What time will our evening reception need to finish?

Ormesby Manor has a late licence so you can make the most of every minute and the festivities and fun can go on until the small hours.
